Final Score- UMD 99 UNCG 56 - The Terrapins are able to get back on track with a big win over the Spartans heading into the start of conference play on December 12 against the Boston College Eagles in College Park. Maryland was able to keep a stout defense to force UNCG mistakes and really dominated the glass. Jordan Williams with a huge game as the Terps win!
2nd Half 3:08 remaining- UMD 88 UNCG 52 - Weijs hustles back for a block from behind a UNCG fast break, UNCG able to cash in on the rebound. Terps keep padding their huge lead.
2nd Half 4:33 remaining- UMD 83 UNCG 50 - Maryland continues to work against the Greensboro defense to get to the free throw line, forcing Aloysius Henry and David Williams to the bench with 4 fouls each. Terrell Stoglin re-enters the game for the Terps looking to continue to spark the offense off the bench, which he has done tonight.
2nd Half 7:32 remaining- UMD 79 UNCG 47 - Berend Weijs is able to get into the action with a strong dunk beneath two UNCG defenders. The Terrapins head into a TV timeout in command thanks to a big night by Jordan Williams and a fast, hard-working defense.
2nd Half 10:45 remaining- UMD 70 UNCG 43 - The Terps defense continues to be effective on all parts of the floor denying the Spartans many second chances at all. Jordan Williams and Terrell Stoglin continue to lead the charge while Kyle Randall and Aloysius Henry have accounted for more than half of UNCG's points.
2nd Half 13:34 remaining- UMD 66 UNCG 40 - Maryland offense continues to make plays for baskets down low, as Aloysius Henry is able to respond with a UNCG 3. Jordan Williams continues to draw fouls stepping to the basket able to convert more from the line, definitely a good sign for coach Gary Williams.
2nd Half 15:35 remaining- UMD 60 UNCG 33 - Maryland's press continues to bottle up the Spartans, forcing a 10-second violation and more turnovers. Bowie gives up 9 inches in height but still gets a huge block under the basket!
2nd Half 18:42 remaining- UMD 56 UNCG 31 - The Terrapin defense continues to be opportunistic with the press. Maryland hopes to continue a 7-0 run coming out of the timeout.

End of the 1st Half- UMD 49 UNCG 31 - The Terrapins take a big lead into the half as they have controlled the tempo and rebounds in this match-up with the Spartans of UNCG.
1st Half 1:34 remaining- UMD 45 UNCG 29 - Padgett with a great finish on a Terrapin fast break, only to have UNCG knock down a 3 going the other way. Jordan Williams comes back with a huge one handed alley-oop! Maryland takes the momentum of the game right back with that great play.
1st Half 3:56 remaining- UMD 40 UNCG 26 - Jordan Williams takes a rest while close to his 8th double-double of the year and the first half hasn't ended yet.
1st Half 7:51 remaining- UMD 32 UNCG 21 - The Spartans began to claw their way back but the Terrapins have been able to work hard on the fast break and their full court press with Jordan Williams and Terrell Stoglin continuing to score.
1st Half 10:17 remaining- UMD 22 UNCG 15 - The Terrapins continue to control the glass but need to continue executing the fast break with a quick turnover leading to a Spartan 3.
1st Half 12:33 remaining- UMD 18 UNCG 8 - The Terrapin defense is continuing to force UNCG into tough shots on the defensive end. Stoglin comes off the bench and quickly contributes to the Maryland scoring. Jordan Williams continues to lead Maryland scorers with 8.
1st Half 15:12 remaining- UMD 10 UNCG 6 - Tucker and Gregory opened the scoring as the Terrapins jump out to an early lead. Maryland is owning the glass so far leading to more possessions and chances to move the ball up the floor. Kyle Randall leading the scoring for the Spartans.
