11:49 VT 53 MD 38 - Three freshmen in for Maryland: Hawk Palsson, Pe'Shon Howard, and Mychal Parker.

15:29 VT 49 MD 34 - Some quick stats: Maryland is shooting only 38.2% from the field tonight, only 18 points in the paint.

17:11 VT 45 MD 32 - Timeout Maryland. The Hokies are outhustling the Terps on defense, and their 2-3 zone continues to shut down the Terps.

2nd Half 20:00 - Starting lineup beginning the second half for the Terps.

HALFTIME VT 40 MD 29 - Rough first half for the Terps. Virginia Tech's zone defense has been lights-out. Jordan Williams has been invisible on the offensive end. He has 2 points and 6 rebounds.

3:46 VT 33 MD 21 - Maryland simply cannot find a consistent inside presence. The Hokies are shutting them down in the paint, forcing turnovers and kickout passes for long looks.

5:08 VT 30 MD 19 - 7 turnovers for Maryland and the Hokies are capitalizing. They're shooting better than 55% from the field.

7:55 VT 26 MD 17 - The guards for VT are having their way with the Terps, consistently finding open looks, many from three-point range. Very different story for Maryland.

10:10 VT 23 MD 13 - Couple of turnovers have widened the Hokie lead to 10. One bright spot for the Terps is their long-range game is on point.

11:47 VT 17 MD 10 - Terps finding their game. James Padgett shows an improved game after entering the game for Dino Gregory. Strong work in the paint on offense and a block defensively for Padgett. Jordan Williams still a nonfactor offensively.

13:48 VT 15 MD 5 - Terps on the board. The guards for Maryland need to do a better job of containing star VT guard Malcolm Delaney, who's already hit some big shots.

15:53 VT 12 MD 0 - Still no points for the Terps. They can't seem to find looks inside and the guards haven't pulled the trigger on open three-point chances. Turnovers, sluggish transition defense.

17:57 VT 10 MD 0 - Gary Williams forced to call timeout as Virginia Tech has scored on all four of its possessions. Maryland unable to get good looks or get it down to Williams in the paint.

Sean Mosley gets the start tonight at guard for the Terps in place of freshman Terrell Stoglin.
